More Monster Deliveries and Conflict Resolved!

Well hiya!  And Happy Friday!!

Where I'm sitting right now, it is warm but so breezy, it's beautiful!!  Sigh, love windy days.

Okay so there's a new BeSpoke to introduce you to....he's been in the shop for a day but I haven't formally introduced him (and I don't want to hurt his feelings) :  Please welcome Trevor B.L. Monster:

So handsome!  And, as always, there are more photos over there in my Etsy shop, as well as a description of his personality and food preferences.  Go on, go click....I'll still be here!

Oh and the other day, and as mentioned in my last post, we were having a difference of opinion with Jerry.  Turns out there was no issue, Jerry was just having some fun - sigh - what a relief!  So we hugged him and everyone's happy!

And yes - today is another hand delivery of adopted BeSpokes!!  Yay!!!  The one earlier was Jackson B.L. Monster, here's a photo of the very handsome Monster:

Almost too cute to bear huh?  Yup.  Well rumour has it that Jackson and his adoptee are doing just fine...great in fact - congratulations Jackson!! xo

And today I will be delivering Chomsky B.L. Monster and Frank B.L. Monster - they are very excited, if not a little nervous:

Well I have to get ready for a trip into Toronto to deliver those guys, while I'm doing that, why not pay a visit to the monsters in the shop?  They'd love the company!

And then there's George....

Hello and happy pappy Wednesday....

It has been a rare lovely day...and as promised earlier, I have a new BeSpoke to introduce you to! George is very talkative, but I was able to take a few photos of him while he was thinking about what to say next:

He's really quite adorable, don't you think?  There are more photos of him in my Etsy shop...go on over, you'll be so happy, and so will George.  And everyone likes a happy George don't they?

And now, we seem to be having a little 'difference of opinion' here in the studio.  It seems that Jerry likes to..well 'moon' the neighbours.  He had been sitting in our dining room window doing just that for a few days, when I suggested (after a good hug and brushing) that perhaps the neighbours would like for him to stop.  He seemed to agree, but then when we weren't looking here's what we found:

Jerry has turned his backside to US now....!!!  is it a political comment, social statement or pure insult.  We don't know, he growls when we get close.  We are working on a strategy to get him to talk to us tonight...Steve is preparing his favourite food...we"ll see and keep you updated.  :)

Introducing Harris B.L. Monster

Hello and happy Monday!

It's a holiday here, so I won't be writing a huge post, but I wanted to introduce you to the newest BeSpoke, Harris B.L. Monster:

Harris, like Moss B.L. Monster, has a fascination with water that led him to falling in a BeSpoke Colour spring too.  But he's proud of his colouring - thinks it makes him look mysterious!  As always if you're interested in seeing more of Harris, just mosey on over to my Etsy shop and click around, you'll be glad you did!  :)

Monsters Out and a Day in the life of Buffin B.L. Monster

Hello and happy Sunday!

It's Sunday, the Sunday of a long weekend, after a Saturday of packing, working hard....it's beautiful outside, the wind is blowing the trees outside my kitchen window...sigh ... just beautiful!

Recently I had the honour of hand delivering a BeSpoke Monster to his new adoptee.  I think they will get along wonderfully!  Here's a photo of Jackson B.L. Monster:

What a sweet sweet guy he is!!!  I will miss him but I think he's going to be crazy happy in his new home!!

While Jackson gets comfortable in his new home, Jerry, who was just listed, is on hold - and he's pretty excited about that - it's business as usual here at Magic and Mud.

And the best thing, the best news, is that I have been sent photos of a BeSpoke that I haven't seen in a long time having a wonderful day out!!!

I think Buffin looks pretty darn happy, and you know, there are so many more monsters on their way to the shop to be adopted by lovely people just like you!!!  if you want to smile, maybe even giggle a little bit, why not go on over to my Etsy shop....it's just over there on the left of your screen and really, all you have to do is click a few times!!  Very little effort for some happy in your day!

Sheldon dances in as Moss goes out!

Well hello and happy pappy Friday!!

Busy busy busy!!!!  Two monsters that were on their way to new homes have arrived safely - yay!!  Moss, after having spent only about half an hour or so in the shop will be on his way shortly and a new BeSpoke has danced his way into the studio:

He's pretty fantastic huh?  That's his favourite photo of himself, not to mention his favourite pose.  He's already in the shop...you know, my Etsy shop.  Yes, you do...it's just over there to the left of your screen, remember?  There ya go...just go on over there, no one's looking, and see the other wonderful photos of Sheldon, well and the other monsters too!!

Well there you go...there may be another monster added to the shop today...if I can find him - he's playing hide and seek...well mostly hide really.

BeSpoke Mountain Colour Springs

Hello and happy pappy Wednesday!

I have been very busy since the party...commission work, regular BeSpoke beguiling...all sorts of cool things!

I have a new BeSpoke to introduce to you, but I think his colouring may need some clarification.
First here's a photo of him, his name is Moss B. L. Monster:

He has beautiful colouring and will be in my Etsy shop ready for adoption shortly, if he isn't already.  But let me tell you how his fur ended up being two colours!

Apparently in the valleys and flatlands just below BeSpoke Mountain, there are springs.  These springs are very much like our clear water springs, and include beautiful waterfalls.  For most of the year, these springs are full of beautiful clear wonderful life sustaining water, again much like ours.  However, for around 4 to 6 weeks, the chemical make-up of these springs changes and any monster, or anyone at all really, who bathes in the waters risks discolouration or re-colour-organization. It has something to do with the changing seasons, but the BeSpokes haven't filled me in on the whole thing yet.  As soon as I know, you will know, I promise!

This explains Moss' different coloured fur, well and his fascination with water didn't hurt either.  But make no mistake, he's in no way embarrassed about his colouring, it makes him special and he's pretty darned proud of it.

As for the commissions, there will be photos soon - it's all very exciting!

International Monster's Day Photos!!!!

Hello hello hello!!!!

Well, I think I've JUST recovered from this past Saturday's festivities...the BeSpokes were rather quiet for  the last two days as well - a rare occurrence!

So I promised you photos, and here we go!

First the set up, before the Monsters got in to everything.  Candles in the cupcakes, the "BeSpoke Monster of the Year" trophy and in behind there too are the invitations:

Okay so, this next one has Eddy (in front), Abbot and Nicholas...well half of Nicholas.  Eddy was the very first monster to wander in to the studio...he is considered a hero and a leader by all other BeSpokes - his favourite colour is purple (that's all he would let me tell you).

These two are the newest BeSpokes, Frank (on the left) and Chomsky (on the right).  They're brothers and stick together most of the time - they had such a good time!

Well now, and this is Walby.  Sigh. Walby thinks that he is part dinosaur...so he thought he should be up high ('cause they're tall - ahem) so he pretty much stayed right there for the whole party.  Although he did turn around to eat his cupcake!

Here's Nicholas again.  Yes he DOES have a worried look on his face, this photo was taken just after he asked "We ARE going to EAT these cupcakes RIGHT???"  I said:  "yes of course!"  Nicholas smiled and said "Merry Christmas!!"

Here's Eddy again, he was giving his "BeSpoke Monster of the Year Award" speech.  He has a very quiet speaking voice, but the monsters behaved and we listened very intently.

And the winner is.......Chomsky B.L. Monster!!!!!  Yay!!!! Chomsky couldn't believe it, he was so surprised!

After the eating of cupcakes and award ceremony, the monsters all gathered to watch a monster movie:

King Kong!!!  Yay!!!

And, after the movie, when they were almost too tired to move, there was a very exuberant BeSpoke Monster Hug Mountain attack.  No humans or monsters were hurt during the attack, just a lot of flying fur and smiles.  :)

So there you have it.  There are more photos, and once they are ready I will post them too, but I thought you'd want to see some as soon as possible!

It's been a wonderful Monster year, and we're all looking forward to another one!!
